The drinks themselves offer two options, depending on your mood - one for Starbucks fans looking for a twist on an old fave, and the other for the more adventurous. The top is finished off with Starbucks' signature caramel drizzle cross-hatch, giving it a little extra pizzazz - a silver lining to your delicious cloud, if you will. Made with cold milk foam, the topping has a light, almost meringue-like consistency with a subtle sweetness. While the drinks themselves are phenomenal, the real star of the show is, of course, the "cloud" topping that gives the drink its name. Bustle had the opportunity to try the new Cloud Macchiato before it formally hit the menu, in both of its forms: the Iced Caramel Cloud Macchiato and Iced Cinnamon Cloud Macchiato. Well, thanks to the good old buck of stars, now us regular people on the ground will get to taste the sky, too - and I can confirm that it is delicious. When you take the drinks' main ingredients into consideration, you'll know exactly what I mean. So, how much caffeine is in Starbucks' Cloud Foam drinks, anyway? Let's just say that you're probably better off drinking them in the morning than at night. To me, they look like beverages that I'd sip on before cuddling up in bed - but after learning how much caffeine is in each one, I probably won't be doing that. The pillowy pick-me-ups - officially called the Iced Caramel Cloud Macchiato and the Iced Cinnamon Cloud Macchiato - feature layers of "fluffy foam" that's reminiscent of billowy clouds. Starbucks released its dreamiest drinks yet on Tuesday, March 5.
